Job description:

We looking for 1-2 energetic and innovative certified music therapists (MTA) to join our team for in-person sessions in Long Term Care settings in Georgetown area, and a school based contract in Mississauga. We are looking for therapists who has demonstrated experience and a keen interest in working in long term care and/or school settings, and providing compassionate and skilled music care for clients.

Sub-contracted team members have complete control over their schedule, but should be open to flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.

Successful candidate must:
*Be accredited with the Canadian Association for Music Therapists (CAMT)
*Have a valid TB test, COVID 19 Vaccination record, and Vulnerable Sector Police Check
*Be confident and self monitored with regards to scheduling, documentation, and client communication
*Be self motivated, organized and feel confident creating interpersonal and therapeutic relationships

*Registration with the CRPO is prefered, but not mandatory
*Candidates selected for an interview will be required to submit a video demonstrating strong musical skills in voice, piano and guitar, and demonstrate at least two music therapy activities / interventions that showcase appropriate goals for mental health contexts

Start date is ASAP.

Must have reliable access to transposition to rural locations.

Responsibilities and Duties
*Facilitate 1:1 music therapy sessions in person at community partner sites
*Keep organized and complete documentation, including informed consent, assessments, progress notes and evaluations.
*Must have access to a guitar and music playing software / a computer or tablet – all other instruments will be provided on-site
