WHO WE ARE…

Music Therapy Services of Simcoe County has specialized in supporting the mental health, developmental, rehabilitation and recreational needs of Ontarians since 2001. MTSSC team members enjoy a diverse caseload working with clients of all ages and with a variety of needs and diagnoses. Our company is approved by the Government of Canada to sponsor international applicants.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT TO DO IN THIS ROLE?

  • Run group and individual music therapy sessions and recreational programs
  • Complete all documentation as per MTSSC guidelines including session plans, assessments, treatment plans, session notes and progress reports
  • Learn songs and interventions to use with clients on your caseload
  • Build proficiency with voice, guitar and piano 
  • Seek out supervision and/or coaching as required for clinical questions

HOW DO I QUALIFY?

  • MTA or in the process of obtaining certification
  • CAMT member in good standing
  • COVID-19 vaccination and annual flu shot (as per long-term care requirements)
  • Reliable transportation
  • Willing to relocate to the Simcoe County region
