Earthtones Music Therapy & Holistic Wellness is a rapidly growing contracting agency and alternative therapy provider for Long Term Care, Senior services, Retirement living and Shelter support in the GTA and Southern Ontario. We work with people of all needs, meeting them where they are and providing support and joy through music and expressive arts-based therapies.

Role Description

This is a part-time, contract, on-site role as a Music Therapist at up to 3 Long Term Care residences in in Mississauga, ON. The Music Therapist will be responsible for conducting music therapy sessions, creating customized music treatment plans, and assessing the progress of clients and all documentation. Pay will be commensurate with CAMT standards for this type of site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Music Therapy
• Certification from the Canadian Association of Music Therapists (CAMT)
• Experience in leading music therapy sessions for individuals or groups
• Strong understanding of psychology, counseling, and music theory
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and age groups
• Passion for helping others improve their well-being through music
• A comprehensive level of guitar/vocal skill and performance ability

Vehicle is essential, hourly wage based on experience, travel and commitment/consistency of contract.
